5 Golden Rings

I have to admit that as a single woman, I often think of future milestones in my life and how they'd play out. Now I haven't actually planned out everything, but I do have an idea of 5 Golden rings that I'd like to receive from my true love.

If you know me personally, then you know just how much I'm obsessed with bows. I definitely want a bow engagement ring. Nothing too fancy because I'll definitely want a totally different ring on my actual wedding day. I want to keep the bow ring and give to my future 15/16 year old (seems like I do have everything planned out lol).

I have a thing for almost anything vintage so I'd definitely be ok with my future husband incorporating some type of vintage detail into my (new) wedding ring.
There is a part of me that is a bit simple, you know for those yoga/latte days. Just a little something to throw on to let the world know that I'm taken and can forfeit the bling for an hour or two lol.
I have like the smallest fingers (4 1/2) so I don't need anything that will overpower my hands. Give me something cute yet dainty.
Now I don't want my hand to be overpowered, but one can never have too many diamonds, right? An upgraded version of cute yet dainty. Since I'm nowhere near a diamond ring, let alone a man I'll happily settle for 4 calling birds, 3 French hens, 2 turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree... less drama lol!!!

Tis The Season...

Its the most wonderful time of the year... Holiday season officially kicked off last Thursday with Thanksgiving. And since I didn't post then, I will let you all know that I am thankful for life itself. I may not be where I'd like to be in life but I am happy that I'm still here and able to have another chance at doing things better.

This Holiday season I'm actually looking forward to everything that relates to Holiday Fashion, Holiday food, and Holiday music. Although, I've been lacking in my blogger duties I promise that the month of December will be merry and bright here at Handbags Hair and Heels.

A Case Of The Blues...

The weather last week and over the weekend has been horrible, rain, rain, and more rain. All of the rain made it super difficult for me to have my personal edition of 'House Hunters' and search for a new place. And aside from the dreariness Aunt Flo decided to come visit *side eye*.

I guess the rain did bring a bit of sunshine in the form of of a kool plus one RSVP from my manager. Since she loves Sephora, she was invited to their VIB Rouge. The Rouges (initial invites) were also treated to super cute bracelets from Bauble Bar. However, we all were able to take advantage of the menu which included exclusive services from Stila, Fresh, Benefit, and several other companies. We were also gifted with a $10 off Sephora purchase and a $15 off gift card to Bauble Bar. You know it had to be totally worth it for me to attend a beauty event early on a Sunday morning. I totally took advantage of the Stila makeover and gave the artist free reign to do whatever. His look was perfect for a night out, but who says you can't be glam'd at breakfast lol!!! I should have taken note of the exact red lippie he used because it lasted forever!!! I also got the Formula X 5 minute manicure, well I cheated a bit and used Marc Jacobs new nail lacquer (but I used Formula X base and top coat). The first thing that attracted me was the packaging followed by the  color. I chose Blue Velvet which was a iridescent deep ocean blue. It looked amazing at first but the next day there were chips, and it got worse. As much as I want to love this lacquer, I wish it would have looked just as good on, as it does in the packaging. Totally not worth the $18 price tag. Initially I wanted a YSL lippie but there were sooo many options and I couldn't choose, so I used my Sephora gift and purchased Dior's lip glow.

Take a look at my morning smokie eye and bold red lip as well as all of the fun I had being a plus one!!!

Sneak Preview- Saks off Fifth Edition

The best thing about not having traditional 9-5 hours is the fact that I can attend events at various hours. I was super ecstatic when I saw Deb's e-mail in regard to Saks Off Fifth relocating in Potomac Mills Mall. This was however, my first time attending an early morning fashion showcase, but it was totally worth it. I was welcomed by the lovely Saks staff as well as management from Potomac Mills. I always get stoked to see my blogger press pass.

The new location near Ralph Lauren was great. This Off Fifth template will serve as the model for future stores to come, and is the 2nd largest in the country. This particular venue has around 22,000 square feet of bright open space. I honestly felt like I could go around admiring the fixtures as if I were a host on HGTV.

This Off Fifth location offers designers such as St. John, Alice and Olivia, Tory Burch, Louboutin (yes you read right), Gucci, and much more. My favorite thing about Off Fifth is the fact that they offer size 5 1/2 shoes, however, I did find out that this location doesn't carry plus size clothing any longer. The manager did state that St. John has vanity sizes which extend to size 16, but come Off Fifth you have to bring back plus sized options for our full figured divas. All in all it was such a treat to be one of the first customers to shop at this particular Off Fifth. If you are in the DMV please be sure to check out Saks Off Fifth in Potomac Mills mall, this weekend they are having a few specials:
*Gift with purchase for first 500 customers
*Text to win $1000 shopping spree
*30% off Designer wear until next Tuesday

Take a look and see all of the deals.

Weekends Were chill

There was sooo much going on this weekend and I did none of it. You ever have a weekend where you just don't feel like doing anything? Well this weekend was that for me. I guess it could have something to do with the fact that I went out during the week on a Tuesday and completely drank too much, but that's another story.

Instead of being social, I spent most of my weekend at home; with the exception of hitting a few malls, Ross, and Marshall's. I took a little break to have some more 'me time' as if all my time isn't me time I got a cute pedi. I even got a chance to catch up on my hobby, thrifting. Was your weekend eventful or did you just chill like me?

Wear Your Actions

Ask about me, all throughout college I was known for a cute statement tee. They ranged from 'Best Hair 2005' to 'Take A Picture It'll Last Longer (in pink and green). You name it I probably had it. I am sooo happy that statement tees are back on the scene!!! You can rock them easily with you fav pair of skinnies or boyfriend jeans, or dress them up with a blazer or pencil skirt. Today as I was browsing the mall to pass traffic I saw these. Take a look and let me know your fav!!!

My broke a** had had to indulge a bit and get the Haters sweatshirt. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to rock it but please believe I will have it on the blog soon. And I just may be back in to get the Fake $ and Gangsta Rap tee. Just in case, the pics were taken at F21 and PacSun (don't sleep on PacSun).
